life was better when my penis was smaller.

A blog dedicated to my past; when life was easier and less stressful. The 90's were wonderful.

Local New Orleans rap played a huge part in my growing up. There was Big Boy, No Limit, Cash Money, Mobo, Take Fo, and so many others. I picked a favorite amongst the plethora of rappers; Mystikal.
The first time I had ever heard Mystikal, was through a friend. His dad used to work at a, I guess, car junk yard. Anyways, he’d always get the CDs left behind in the totaled cars. One of them was Mystikal’s self-titled EP.
It was a field day at school, and we could bring our portable cd/cassette players/boomboxes. My friend had put that CD in, and my mind was melting at this dude’s voice, and witty lyricism (later found out that Tim Smooth ghost-wrote much of the ep). I was hooked. Immediately, I traded him one of my CDs for this piece of local gold. This album was on rotation so much growing up. The funky New Orleans brassy and bassy beats, mixed w/Mystikal’s Louis Armstrong-esque voice made this one of the definitive NOLA rap albums.
